>Be around 9 years old >Wake up in the middle of the night dying of thirst >Walk to kitchen for some water >When you walk out my bedroom, there is a 4x6" hallway >My bedroom door is facing the bathroom door on the opposite side of the hallway >There Is a 3' closet space to the Immediate left of my door with a doorway leading to siblings room and the rest of the back portion of the house closer to bathroom doors right, and a doorway to living room to the immediate right of my door and a 3 wall space that holds an old fashion wall heater closer to the bathroom doors left >the type of heater that is built into the wall with a floor grate in front of it at its base >I make my way to the kitchen that is at the front portion of the house past the living room > upon passing through the doorway to the living room, I get a tremendous chill that makes me actually shake >it came from my left side where the wall heater is located but on the living room side without any grates and just wall >I actually reach out with my left hand into the space where I feel the cold generating from... nothing >I chalk it up to a draft coming from the wall heater but in the back of my mind remember hearing about a sudden chill meaning spirit. activity >I'd always been a brave kid, so I continue to the kitchen >I grab a glass and feel it up with water at the sink >Early 90's, we still drink from the faucet >Thirst quenched, on my way to the room I stop at the area that gave me chills, >No more cold regular summer night heat >Chalk it up even more to a draft from the heater >Close door behind me and walk over and flop belly down on my bed. >Almost immediately, it feels like two hands grab the back of my neck and begins slamming my face into my pillow >it was so surreal that I felt more confusion, at first >But then just plain terror set in >My face would rise... Slam! Rise... Slam! >It felt like it was happening in slow motion but I knew it was being done with speed because I could feel the air whooshing across my face >I couldn't struggle, the rest of body was frozen, and I didn't know whether it was from being terrified or. >My brain going at the speed of light trying to figure something out, I grasped at hope and began praying >I must've said the Hall Mary too many times to count >And funny it was the Hall Mary my mind settled on because it sure was a Hall Mary situation >The more I prayed, the slower it slammed my face into the pillow Till it eventually stopped >I sat with my face in the pillow until I could feet light from the Sun in my room >When I did, I got up, rubbed my face, and went to the living room and watched some Saturday morning cartoons >I kept that story to myself for years >That was the morning I beat my claustrophobia >I figured there are other things to be scared of.
